We have had a fantastic show case of talent throughout the week as well.
Sophie read a story to the class with fantastic expression. The class were amazed by her reading skills.
Rachel, Ava, Evie and Niamh performed a brilliant dance to the class. Everyone was so impressed.
"I really enjoyed that! It makes me want to dance!"
said Ollie dancing away to the music.

In Design Technology we made some houses from 1666. The children made their houses using cardboard and using the measuring skills they have learnt in Numeracy. The children then painted them and chose a design for their house. They look simply amazing on our classroom display!

Year 4’s ‘Awareness Video’ about Sumatran Tigers, by Mrs Hover
Date: 19th Dec 2016 @ 8:49pm
Please look at our video called, ‘Would it be OK…?’ about the plight of Sumatran Tigers. They are critically endangered and we wanted to educate people so this beautiful animal doesn’t become extinct. We worked in pairs thinking about the ‘voice’ of the tiger and then created powerful questions based upon their threats.

Christmas Carols at Waitrose (Y3), by Miss Jones
Date: 9th Dec 2016 @ 2:00pm
On Friday 9th December, the Year 3 children walked to Waitrose and bravely performed some of their favourite Christmas songs. The sung beautifully to the big audience who had gathered inside the store. They performed for an hour and then had a little snack at the juice bar. Mrs Davies and Miss Jones were very impressed with the children's behaviour when walking along the canal and when inside the store. They really were a credit to the school.
Thank you to Jude's mum, Vinny's mum, Amelia's mum and Erin's mum for helping us. Also, a very special thanks must go to Mrs Davies who has helped the children perfect their performance every Wednesday over the past few weeks.
Miss Jones.
The Christmas Story, by Mrs Harrison
Date: 8th Dec 2016 @ 2:22pm
Year 1 finally cracked the code yesterday and found out those cheeky reindeers have been trying to learn the Christmas Story by watching our nativity play. This afternoon, year 1 have been working in groups to re-tell the story to each other. I wonder whether they can tell you the story at home?
Year 4 - Animals in Captivity, by Mrs Hover
Date: 7th Dec 2016 @ 8:38pm
In Literacy, we read the poem ‘My Mother Saw a Dancing Bear’ by Charles Causley. Then, we used noun phrases, expanded noun phrases and powerful verbs to describe the life of a dancing bear and the life of a bear living in its natural habitat (David Attenborough film clip). Finally, we wrote from the viewpoint of the ‘dancing bear’.
Y2 Fire Station & Candle Factory Visit, by Mrs Harrison
Date: 6th Dec 2016 @ 6:52pm
We had such a fabulous time on our school trip today!
First we went to Chester Fire Station where the firefighters made us very welcome. We watched a drill, had a squirt of the hoses, explored the fire engines and even watched the firefighters rescue somebody who was trapped in a car!
We learnt all about the role of a firefighter and the equipment that they use now compared to life in 1666 when firefighters were fighting the Great Fire of London.
We spent a wonderful time at the Cheshire workshops making candles and candle holders.
Thank you to all the staff at the Fire station and Cheshire workshops, to the school staff and to Mrs Stuart, who all helped us to have a brilliant time :)
