Welcome to our Y6 page!

Our curriculum

We have a geography focus this half term as we learn all about life in South America. We focus on the amazing story of the Galápagos Islands through our English texts. In Science, we learn about evolution and consider how Charles Darwin has shaped the way we think today.

PE will take place on Thursday afternoons with Mr Brown. We also have a music and movement session on Monday afternoons with AmaSing. Children should come to school wearing their PE kit on these days.

Homework will be set on a Thursday. It should be returned by the following Wednesday. It will be put on our Google classroom page. You will have the option each week to complete your homework online or in your homework book. 

The best way that you can practise your learning at home is by reading daily as much as possible. We have a fantastic selection of books in school. How many can you read this year?
