This week we have been learning all about algorithms and why the order of our instructions is so important. Here we are making predictions about where our Bee Bots would move to and trying out the same commands but in different orders.

We have had a great time today.
After a tour and safety talk we had lunch.
This afternoon one group were on the Mountain Bikes and the others Stand Up Paddle Boarding.
After tea we had a play out and some of us did Orienteering.
We have just settled for the night as we have a busy day tomorrow.

This half term we have been exploring 2D shapes through lots of practical work.We have been looking at the properties of shapes including their vertices and their lines of symmetry.

So much effort has gone into our Design Technology project this half term. We learnt how to make an axle and a chassis and then designed and made our own vehicles. We think you will agree that they look amazing! Very proud of you all Year 2 :)

In Spring 2 Year 4 completed sooo much learning! You can see by some photos we really enjoyed predicting our new English text with our props. We learned all about Electrictiy in Science and how to conduct circuits. We created some light up signs with our new skills and we even created a human circuit with a switch🔌😎 lastly we had our Brass end of term performance with Music For Life🎺🎷

We had a wonderful day in our outdoor learning. We made a dinosaur island with erupting volcanoes, made nests for the birds and toasted marshmallows. The children were a credit to our school with their wonderful listening, manners enthusiasm.

The children have been busy with all things dinosaurs this week. They have been in the swamp, hidden in the bubbly water, been trapped in the ice. We have also been busy in the dinosaur office and have been practising our dinosaur moves in Dance.

Today Year 5 have been exploring conductors and insulators. We tested different materials to see what material was the best insulator and stopped the ice lollies melting. We also had time to enjoy an ice lolly in the sun!
