2.        Over the last 10 weeks we have been learning about and how to play guitar with Robyn and Ollie from Music 4 Life.

3.        The first thing we learnt was the parts of the guitar.

5.        This part is called the neck

6.        Then we have the body,

7.        This part here is the bridge,

8.        Then we have the nut,

9.        The frets are the parts separated by the lines

10.  And finally the strings.

11.  We then learnt a sentence to help with our string names:

13.  We are going to play some of the songs we have been learning.

14.  Our first song is called Minor Swing, and in this song we learnt how to play open strings.

15.  "Minor Swing" is a gypsy jazz tune composed by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli.

16.  The next song is called Flamenco Frenzy. In this song we practised holding down our first fret.

17.  Flamenco music is from Spain.

18.  The next song we are going to play is the James Bond theme. In this song we practised using different frets and strings.

19.  This was first composed by Monty Norman and adapted by John Barry.

20.  The next song is We Will Rock You. This song uses the first chord we have learnt called E minor

22.  We have loved learning about the guitar because we liked learning the tunes.

23.  The next song we are playing is called Eddie's Blues. In this song we practised using rests to create different rhythms.

24.  Blues is a type of music from the Deep South of the United States.
