Children's Mental Health Week (1st - 7th February), by Miss Jones
Date: 31st Jan 2021 @ 7:33pm
From 1-7 February 2021 schools, youth groups, organisations and individuals across the UK will take part in Children’s Mental Health Week. This year’s theme is Express Yourself.
Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good.
It’s important to remember that being able to express yourself is not about being the best at something or putting on a performance for others. It is about finding a way to show who you are, and how you see the world, that can help you feel good about yourself.
For Children's Mental Health Week 2021 children (and adults) are encouraged to explore the different ways we can express ourselves, and the creative ways that we can share our feelings, our thoughts and our ideas.
Here are some activities that everyone can enjoy this week and beyond.

All the children have been informed about the poster competition today in assembly and will be bringing home Robertson's construction paper to complete their designs on. The designs should have a construction and/or Peregrine Falcon theme.

Oldfield Primary School, Action Transport Theatre and the Ignite Teaching School Alliance would like to invite you to our community showing of Adrift:
Two children are in a boat. One is rowing. One is fishing. They dream about a land, a beautiful land that’s waiting for them. A safe land. Adrift is a poignant and important play from acclaimed children’s theatre company Action Transport Theatre. Told from the perspective of two children adrift at sea fleeing conflict, it is a celebration of the resilience and imagination of childhood.
Time - 6.30pm on Tuesday 29th January 2019 at Oldfield Primary School.
Doors open at 6.10pm, refreshments available both before and after.
Please join us after the show for a discussion about the play and how we can develop our curriculum to support our children in their learning.
Please RSVP to head@oldfield.cheshire.sch.uk , admin@oldfield.cheshire.sch.uk or call 01244 981772 by Tuesday 22nd January

Year 3/4 Netball , by Miss Jones
Date: 25th May 2017 @ 9:48pm
Well done to the Year 3 and 4 girls who played in today's netball matches against St Marin's Academy and Delamere Academy. These were our final league matches of the season. The girls played tremendously well and gave it their all, even in the very hot weather. Although we came second in our matches, we had a fantastic time. Thank you to the parents who came along to watch at St Martins and/or helped with transport. Finally, thank you to Mr Huddart for coming along to watch too.
Well done to: Maisie (captain), Hannah, Amelia, Grace, Ruth, Evie and Felicity.

They played brilliantly despite it being very cold and the grass being very long! Well done to Jack McCarthy-Hall for scoring a fabulous goal in the second half. All of the boys were a credit to the school and made Mr Huddart and I very proud.
Well done to Thomas, Ayyub, Ben, Joe B, Jack McH, Alistair and Franek.
